Truth Bomb By OVD: Military analysis and how to spot propaganda

 Hey Everyone,

As promised I'm writing about how to do effective analysis including military. I'm sure you've all heard knowledge is power and it is, but controlling it is power too. Company's like FOX or MSNBC are trying to control the narrative and spin things to fit that narrative. Look at the Classified documents scandal for instance...Fox says Trump was mistreated and did no wrong, Biden should be impeached and Pence is just a nice guy, leave him alone. MSNBC say Trump stole and hid documents intentionally, Biden just misplaced them and Pence is a good cover excuse for Biden. The Truth is our highest Elected officials are ALL mishandling our nations secrets and one intentionally. They need to create chains of custody and keep better track of these records in the first place so none of this happens again. But neither Network is saying that. Because they are pushing a narrative and spinning the story's to fit it. In other words controlling Information. Propaganda. Remember all these Networks are owned by Corporations that have their own agenda.

So the key to analyzing anything is multiple perspectives. Most news and history is biased. That's just reality. So by looking at different perspectives you get a better picture of the whole situation. The more angles you can look at something, the better picture you get of it's entirety. It works on everything from land navigation to getting ready to go to Burning Man for the first time. The more information you get from different sources or angles gets you a more accurate picture.

First hand sources that you know, even electronically(Internet friends) can also give you the average person on the grounds point of view. A Platoon Sergeant or rifleman looks at things a lot differently than a general as a great example. Knowing both those points of view first hand is optimum. I've known a few Generals in my time but you can see their point of view on most news shows now. The people on the ground never get a say unless it fits the narrative. So knowing their perspective is seriously good intel. As I stated above, more than one source gives you a better picture.

Reading body language. Even people on TV have tells. When someone gives their story...keep note of their body language. Fake body language  is easy to spot. like a fake smile or that dumb look Tucker Carlson uses when he's doing evil. You can use this to determine the accuracy of the information your getting.

Peer reviewed information...not just some person on the Internet said. When looking up things make sure your source is real, notable and peer reviewed. There is so much misinformation out there your have to check.

So after knowing all that now spotting propaganda seems easy. And it is. It's as easy as a misleading headline or click bait. Another easy tell is "the dumb question" like why can't we....whatever? It's leading you in a direction...so Propaganda. A good news source would stick to the facts and move to the next story. None do now. They all have the panels of opinions fitting their narrative. Propaganda. The most obvious is over "patriotic" behavior. If you have to wave a flag to sell your agenda, it's bad. Tugging at your heartstrings...propaganda. They are using your emotions to nudge you into their narrative. Good movies and Ads do this too. It works.

Which leads us to the two most important things.

1) Free thinking. Question everything. Check for yourself, review other sources or perspectives. Especially question your own opinions. You are the easiest person to lie to. And always remember things change so adapt.

2) Scientific Method, testing things repeatedly to give you proof or disproof of whatever subject, thing or theory.

Those two things should be taught to every human at an early age. We'd be a lot smarter on average if we did.

I hope this helps.

  1. The issue here for me is intent. TFG'S intent was to use the stolen documents for nefarious purposes. Joe Biden had no such iij intent, his was mostly due to oversight and no malicious intent was in play. In addition, the documents that TFG stole were the most highly sensitive in nature with national security issues. There is no equating the two.

    1. Agreed they are different in the why...but the fact remains they all mishandling these materials and that needs to be address. Trumpty Dumpty should have been arrested 2 years ago after his failed COUP attempt.

  2. The National Archives is doing a terrible job of keeping up with documents. I realize they have a huge number to keep track of, but that is their job. The people who have access to those documents should also have some responsibility in the matter but it does seem whateve they use to track them is inadequate.

    1. With us Military types we have a chain of custody. You sign it out and if not returned in time they hunt you down. This should be the same for civilians in Government including POTUS.

  3. I also agree that the "news" services have become more interested in garning attention and pushing narratives rather than reporting facts. We need another Walter Chronkite.
